Sushant Mainali

About Me

Hello! I'm Sushant Mainali, a passionate and driven developer with a strong foundation in computer programming and networking. I hold a Diploma in Computer Programming from Niagara College, Toronto, and bring a blend of development skills, hands-on project experience, and a constant desire to grow in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to contribute to a range of projects—from security and UI/UX testing to bug fixing during my Co-op placement. One of my key projects includes developing the Xmarine mobile application, built using C# with Firebase integration, where I honed both my front-end and back-end development skills.

To expand my expertise, I've also completed job simulation projects in collaboration with industry leaders such as Mastercard (Cybersecurity), AWS (Solutions Architecture), and DATACOM (Cybersecurity). These experiences have deepened my understanding of modern cloud technologies and enterprise security practices.

My technical toolkit includes a solid grasp of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs, along with hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls. I'm also well-versed in network security concepts and best practices, which complements my development work.

I thrive on challenges and am always eager to learn, solve problems, and take my skills to the next level. Whether it's building secure applications or exploring emerging technologies, I'm excited to contribute to meaningful projects and grow as a well-rounded IT professional.

Projects

Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

During my Co-op placement, I served as the Testing Lead for our group’s project. My responsibilities included conducting comprehensive UI/UX testing to ensure an intuitive and visually consistent user interface. I meticulously verified button alignment, navigational flows, and functionality to enhance user experience. Additionally, I performed security testing, including login bypass assessments, to identify and address potential vulnerabilities, contributing to the overall quality and robustness of the application.

Pashupatinath Temple

This website was developed collaboratively as a group project with my friends. It highlights the Pashupatinath Temple, a renowned Hindu temple located in Kathmandu, Nepal, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Famous for its stunning pagoda-style architecture, the temple draws numerous pilgrims and tourists, particularly during the Maha Shivaratri festival. As an important cultural and religious landmark, Pashupatinath Temple is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

GrocerEase

This application was developed as a collaborative group project, focusing on GrocerEase—an advanced Grocery Management System engineered to enhance inventory control, streamline user administration, and improve order tracking workflows. The solution leverages Microsoft PowerApps for the front-end interface and employs SharePoint as a centralized database to automate critical business processes. A key functionality of the system is the real-time synchronization of inventory levels upon order placement, effectively reducing manual errors and increasing operational efficiency across the supply chain.

QuickBite

This application was developed collaboratively as a group project. QuickBite is a user-centric mobile app designed to streamline restaurant ordering by enabling direct interaction between customers and their preferred restaurants, thereby bypassing third-party platforms. Developed with Xamarin, C#, and XAML, QuickBite delivers a consistent, cross-platform experience across various devices. The app allows users to create personalized accounts, browse comprehensive menus, and place orders effortlessly. It prioritizes a clean and intuitive user interface, seamless navigation, and robust validation mechanisms to ensure reliability and an enhanced user experience.
